Irssi Log Merger

Irssi Log Merger is a small Python script that takes a set of Irssi irclogs/ directories and merges them chronologically into a single set of files.

Typical use for it is when using Irssi under GNU Screen on different servers/shells at different times.

Collect all your log directories onto a single server.
run: ./irssi-log-merge.py TODIR srcdir1 srcdir2 srcdir3..
The script will create TODIR, and read all given source directories. Each source directory should contain subdirectories like EFNet, IRCNet and so on.
Wait for it. The current implementation uses about 9 minutes on my combined 501 MB of logs.
